Our History
UK Sign Services Limited was incorporated in 1997 by Andrew Unwin and Anthony Medlock and two other directors to service the requirements of the traffic management industry for temporary road signs. Andrew Unwins background was in industrial engineering with GEC and Anthony Medlocks experience was in the graphic design and printing industry. As the company developed it was soon apparent that it also had the skills to service the retail and commercial sign market and the company was directed towards servicing these markets. The company is now solely owned and directed by Andrew Unwin and Anthony Medlock.
The more that the company's services and products to the retail market were developed, the more it was requested to also supply installation services. Many of the larger projects required building works and civil construction elements and because of this a divsion of the company was created called Camway (www.camway.biz).
Camway also undertakes civil engineering projects on motorway networks and local highways which do not directly have any signage element to them. However when motorway signs or projects requiring signs are undertaken, UKSign and Camway working together become a formidable team.
The supply of signs from UKSign continues to grow and we are still developing the services and products that we offer, we continue to invest in new sign equipment and technology that advances at a lightning pace.
One of the latest projects we are undertaking (to be launched in early 2010) is the opening of a division to comprehensively service the safety sign market via an online purchasing service, we hope SHOP4SIGNS (www.shop4signs.biz) will take the company to even greater heights.
