Shop Front Signs and Retail Signage

KooClothingWe were commissioned to design a shop sign for a newly refurbished shop frontage. The landlord (a local council) had imposed strict planning restrictions in terms of what was to be allowed. We worked with the client and the local planning office to produce a modern but fairly subtle sign that would assist the outlet in looking fashionable and keep the local council satisfied to suitability. Brushed stainless steel stood off lettering was chosen as it looked fresh against the traditionally built but new black painted facade.

Whilst we have the creative design talent to produce striking modern shop signs, we have not forgotten the roots of retail signage in terms of either traditional hand painted or carved signs. A traditional looking sign can give the impression that a business has been operating for a long time, giving customers confidence in the client. Traditional shop signs can be produced with modern cnc machines and design technology, all that is required is an understanding of old techniques.

This shop sign and shop frontage was produced using modern technology and "3D" carving software which was linked to a computer controlled routing machine to produce a recessed carved effect. This was then gilt applied and varnished and subtle lighting was incorporated into the shop facade.Peter Anthony Estates

There are an abundance of fonts, styles, materials and designs that can be used on a shop sign. We are happy to work with a client to explain what is available and to then produce a shop sign which you will be proud of and something that will increase the turnover of the business.

Ashley James HairstylingWe worked with the designated architects to produce a modern looking style to this hairstyling outlet in a major shopping mall. Working in this type of location also results in other things to be concerned with, as many members of the public are in the vicinity. It will often be required from the landlord to either shutter the shop premises whilst the work is being undertaken in the daytime, or alternatively have a programme of work that is in the evening when there are no pedestrians in the vicinity.
